Plant Production Manager

Gerome Technologies manufacturer of components for the power generator and motor repair market. Supplier of many larger OEMs and a variety of insulating and blocking parts. Their principal products include: electrical insulation for coil winding; slot cell armor (hard composite or straight Nomex); series loop caps; a variety of other molded and formed parts.

• Organize the resources and services necessary for producing quality products. Major responsibilities including production scheduling, staffing of 40+ employees over 3 shifts, procuring and maintaining equipment, overseeing quality and inventory control, and coordinating production activities among departments. Lay out the production schedule so that production quotas are met but financial and time constraints are respected. Monitor production to ensure that LEAN practices are being utilized, it stays on schedule and to fix any complications that may arise. Explore ways to enhance the manufacturing process while ensuring that safety guidelines (defined by OSHA) are adhered to. Monitoring product quality, inspect samples of product throughout the process, noting any defects in order to create statistical analyses of quality control problems.

• Manage projects from prints or reverse engineering, working closely with the engineering department and through manufacturing. Establishing processes and procedures for the production of the goods. Insure all products are within the specs and tolerances that are dictated by the customer. Insure the product passes our Quality lab inspection process.

• Assist in the preparation of shipping to customer. Ensure products are properly packaged/crated in a manner that will make certain that the customer will receive their merchandises in good condition and confident that that manufactured goods will accomplish its intended function.

* Applied Robotics, Inc. October 2007 to October 2008

Regional Sales Manager

Applied Robotics Inc. is a manufacturer and supplier of specialized automation end-of-arm tooling and connectivity solutions designed to bring greater speed, flexibility and efficiency to automation-based processes. As Regional Sales Manager, my responsibilities focus on the sales of Applied Robotics tooling solutions within assigned territories including the northern USA and all of Canada.

• Sales and Marketing

Owning and coordinating all aspects of the sales cycle, as well as expanding the customer base within the assigned territory by attending tradeshows, client contact and extensive traveling. Vice President of Retail Relations/Client Services

Oversaw and managed the business partnerships for Wurld Media's online e-commerce division, BuyersPort Networks. Successfully expanded the business to encompass over 500 of the industry's leading retailers and was promoted to manage key personnel in both client services and reporting. The platform has produced over $165 million dollars in e-commerce sales and became the company's leading revenue stream. By leading personnel, a second distribution channel was developed within the nonprofit sector; this division of the BuyersPort product was called Grow Hope. In executing new brand development, the e-commerce affinity program could be marketed to nonprofit clients such as Special Olympics, Arthritis Foundation, Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS foundation and United Cerebral Palsy.

Journeyman Machinist

Saint-Gobain is a world leader in coated abrasive production.

As a state certified journeyman machinist, my background includes a wide range of mechanical expertise. I have performed preventative maintenance inspections, fabrication of parts, trouble shooting/correcting malfunctions on the production equipment throughout my career.

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.

• Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.

• Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.

• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.

• Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.

• Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work.

• Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures.

• Install repaired parts into equipment, or install new equipment.

• Dismantle machines or equipment, using hand tools and power tools, in order to examine parts for defects and replace defective parts where needed.

While at Saint-Gobain, I was a member of the Fire/First Responder Team (Trained for hazardous material, first aid, CPR and fire/rescue etc.) for 11 years. I was also elected as a member of the Committed to Action team for four years of my career. The Action team was a company campaign that increased safety awareness, provided guidelines, reduced costs and increased company profits.
