Kraft/Mondelez Int’l – Milpitas, Ca.

Logistics Supervisor (May 2010 – Present)

Deliver top Logistics objectives of Safety, Customer Service, Annual Contract (budget) Attainment, as well as People Engagement and Management

Lead warehouse/delivery team. Supervise and develop personnel. Maintain facilities and assets.

Ensure all DOT standards are performed and the facility is in compliance with such standards

Area SAP expert, daily planning to support the business strategy, continuous process improvement.

Oversee a fleet of 20 assets including tractors, trailers, bobtails within the DSD store delivery model

Lead and Implement facility safety programs to meet governmental and corporate standards. Ensure all principles and practices of transportation including KPIs, federal and state laws and all regulations are followed.

Train/certify drivers and warehousemen in delivery and warehouse methods training. Staff and evaluate personnel and provide on-going feedback about personnel capabilities/development along with providing regular field supervision to assigned drivers

Train and develop on best work practices, inventory management transactions, goal setting and team building as well as safety and environmental programs. Drive process Improvement and 5S processes.

Maintain organization, encourage creativity, and lead by example. Adamant about team building, people building and have strong leadership skills.

Partner with Customer, Retail and Logistics team to execute strategy through the development of local plans and tactics in support of those strategies.

Develop and leverage relationships with customers to achieve logistics efficiencies.

Identify Logistics Opportunities and ensure issues are addressed in strategic and tactical plan as well as review and approve order and inventory management in SAP.

Manage and execute major initiatives: Customer Care, Productivity gains, Order Fulfillment and customer partnerships. Drive Local Planning Team Meetings.

Manage resources to provide admin and analytical support for necessary Logistics functions, i.e. order management, inventory management, etc.

Manage product forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, payroll and expense budgets. Partner with local management to develop local budget, optimize resources and execute site plans.

Kraft/Nabisco – Milpitas, Ca.

Logistics Coordinator (August 2002 – May 2010)

Coordinated daily operations of Milpitas distribution center for Kraft Biscuit Division

Activities included: Processing orders for all customers including grocery, Hawaiian, and export. Customer base consists of 700 customers. Provided the autonomy to assist in managing 35 union employees, manage payroll, tracking PTO, W/C & OSHA. Dealing with all facets of branch inventory, including donation/liquidation, inventory levels and receiving. Managing A/R and A/P. Initial contact for all customer concerns.

Significant Achievements: Implemented processes to reduce waste. Branch was ranked 6th in the nation overall (2007). Waste (donation) was .19%. 2008 Waste was .20%, maintained the excellent results two years running. Performed all audits including H&W, Pension and Sarbanes and Oxley. Region lead for Catalyst upgrade and training. Manage Sector three facility when MCL and LS are out of the facility. 2008 was designated region expert for ECC changeover. Conducted training and local support for all Northern California branches. Supported Sacramento facility for 2 months remotely and on site, while they contended with personnel issues. Key SAP trainer for Sacramento/Fresno transition to Stockton facility.

Significant Achievements 2009: Ranked third overall in nation in leadership and excellence award. (Contest measuring multiple KPI’s.) Received a 965 AIB audit Jan. 2010. Made G/L by 78k, reduced head count by 2. DUPH ranked 11th in nation, CUPH ranked 13th in nation, reduced excessive deliveries by 1796, delivered 3.6 million cases or 90 million dollars of product at a case cost of only $1.32. Total fresh returns .41% ranked 12th in nation.

Project work in 2009: Region lead for waste team, Region lead for Catalyst transition team, Region lead for new HHC project, Developed SAP training deck and conducted training for the Hawaiian jobbers, Compiled 35 page security plan for branch, Compiled pertinent detailed information for the union contract such as pay rates, labor cost etc.
