Arris/Digeo (acquired by Arris 200*-****-****
Enables service providers, including cable, telephone and digital broadcast satellite operators, and media programmers, to deliver media, voice and Internet protocol (IP) data services to their subscribers.
Distinguished Manufacturing Engineer 2009-2016
Senior Program Manager 2000-2009
Analyze product lifecycle design for excellence for hardware and software design, test, manufacturing, repair and end of life. Analyze product quality by examining the repair data to the reliability prediction; create and release documentation for NPI manufacturing configuration control process and test; create and release new product test after repair documentation; analyze Gage R&R reports and CPK reports;
By identifying a previously overlooked and recurrent component defect issue, discovered that over 80% was a result of lighting damage. Scoped magnitude, analyzed impact, documented findings and alerted function groups potentially reducing a significant majority of product recalls and repairs.
Determined that the data used to compare design predictions and repair statistics and was able to pinpoint source of a long standing correlation issue potentially saving thousands of hours in analysis.
Identified issues with data base inputs that do not provide analysts with coherent data required for analysis. Proposed process to design data base entries based on analysis requirements.
Boeing Defense and Space group
Development, test and manufacturing of Defense and Space products. Produced and instrumented prototype Air Launched Cruise Missile for Wind Tunnel proof of concept testing. Full scope earth and space environment test capabilities with pyro shock, acoustic, vibration and vacuum/solar simulation testing.
Manager of Integrated Technology and Development Lab 1998-2000
Manager and Instrumentation Groups 1995-1998
Managed a 33-person engineering group with Overhead, Capital and Internal Research budgets.
•Proposed and managed change from mainframe data acquisition to portable PC based data acquisition and analysis systems, providing on floor/site data displays and plots.
•Developed techniques to install transducers and record high frequency data in extreme pressure and temperature environments.
