Project: Client The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) upgrade FBIS Business Intelligence platform (OBIA 7.9.6.4) to engross source transactional data which are going through Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) upgrade from EBS 11.5.10.2 to R12.

Project Scope: DHHS is the United States government’s principal agency for protecting the health of all Americans and providing basic human services. The organization works closely with state and local governments, and many HHS-funded services are provided at the local level by state or county agencies, or through private sector grantees.

Financial Business Intelligence System (FBIS) DWH accounting system is Oracle OBIA application and is responsible to process the data from NIH Business System, CMS and UFMS (Unified Financial Management System) EBS OLTP system. The financial management systems of HHS are undergoing a major upgrade as part of the Financial Systems Improvement Program (FSIP). UFMS, one of the three financial systems to be upgraded, is also a major data source for FBIS. Any changes in UFMS due to R12 upgrade to the data structure, configurations, business processes or business rules may potentially impact FBIS Oracle OBIA application.

The Enterprise Data Warehouse and Research Depot (EDWard), is an organization wide data repository is being sourced directly from disparate operational systems to provide a structure, one source of truth for organization level reporting and analysis, and improve latency.

Project Scope 2: As a part of vendor realignment at the engagement level, Client has taken a decision to transition the EDWard QA work from Deloitte to UST team and parallel transitioning BI Analytics QA work from IBM to Deloitte consulting. Scope of this work was to play a role of Transition Lead. The main activities was to ensure the smooth ongoing operation and support of a solution, and the successful technical deployment to the user community.
