We removed two Cisco Pix firewalls and replaced with redundant Sonicwall firewalls. We removed a Cisco 6500 Catalyst switch and replaced with 3 HP Procurve 96 port switches. We installed a 210 rack mounted Citrix Xen Desktop Terminal server solution in an upgraded data center where we added 20 additional racks. We installed an 80,000 watt battery backup APC system and coordinated the installation of a 5 ton AC unit for the upgraded data center. We also installed a wireless solution consisting of 40 HP Procurve access points at Trinity Christian Academy. We installed an Edge Controller hardware device that allowed us to make a change on the controller that would be distributed to all the access points instead of having to make a change on each access point individually. I also learned a lot about wireless signal strength, software used to identify the strength and how to optimize it, access points with multiple radios, the advantages of using different channels on the access points, wireless saturation, and the pros and cons of mixing wireless standards on one network,
