Verizon IT Network Operations Senior Manager - Southern California Aug. 2001 – Dec. 2015

Manage Projects and Operations for the RF Network - responsible for IT Network interface (HW/SW), equipment operations, maintenance and integration of cellular phone network. My duties include verifying cell sites are built to specifications, project mange system buildouts and ensure system configurations are correct. Certify quality assurance is adhered to, supervise troubleshooting, and system acceptance testing. Document any issues and follow up with contractors to make needed corrections.

Oversee and manage fiber optics network, Microwave radios, Cisco routers, packet switching, PBX, LAN, WAN, layer devices, and supervise a team of 10 technicians covering Ontario CA to the borders of Nevada, Arizona and Mexico. Work with local and Federal officials on Emergency Preparedness & Disaster Recovery drills. GTE International RF Operations Manage-Mexico City Nov. 1998 – Aug 2001 Responsible for managing the operation and maintenance of digital voice, and data technologies as well as the installation of new cells sites and growth of existing cells sites as required by customer demand. Other responsibilities include: directing and supervising 27 Associate Cell Technicians, Cells Technician, and Senior Cell Technician to ensure the proper maintenance and operations of 300+ cell sites, micro-cells, microwave, Wireless Local Loop (WLL) and associated peripheral equipment, including tower maintenance, HVAC, emergency generators, and interconnect facilities. Evaluated BTS and microwave procedures and write Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Also, my duties included ensuring labor relations laws were adhered to.

Responsible for design and construction of all new paging transmitter sites and bring all old sites up to standard for the Northern California market. Managed a staff of four installation technicians, two architect contractors and three structural engineers. My duties included ensuring FCC and FAA regulations were adhered to, real estate issues were resolved and work with local jurisdictions to secure building permits. I also managed a staff of three to do baseline drive testing and the results were used to optimize coverage.

• Promoted from Paging Technician to Project Manager.

• Provided onsite management and quality control to ensure projects met time and budget requirements, and built in accordance with contract documents.

• Worked closely with architects and engineering team in reviewing drawings and specifications

Niles Canyon Satellite Earth Station Inc. Technician Sunol California Dec. 1991 – Feb. 1994

Installed, maintained, trouble shoot and repaired Earth Station equipment used to relay voice and data communications around the world. This equipment consisted of Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS), air-to-ground and ground-to-air communications equipment used by major airlines, ship-to-shore and shore-to-ship communications equipment used by sea going vessels.
