Fluor Arabia Ltd. - Jeddah, Saudi Arabia - May 2008 – July 2014

King Abdul Aziz University $ 1 Billion Expansion Project - Responsible for ensuring contractors conformance to requirements of contract documents for the construction of 35 university buildings and associated infrastructure encompassing more than 4 million sq. feet. Task include general overview and leadership of all construction contract activities, oversight of field work, Management of more than 100 field personal including Senior Construction Engineers, Engineering Field staff and support personal. Coordinate construction activities and schedules with client and contractors, review and approve submittals with technical department, chair/conduct weekly project meetings, conduct site inspections in harsh environments, ensure Fluor HSE safety training and orientation policies are enforced, generate and distribute correspondence. Identify and resolve project issues and problems. Develop and administer training program for Saudi Engineering graduates.

Project Engineer ll

Dormitory Authority State of New York – Albany, New York – March 2001 to May 2008

Responsible for Project Engineering Management for construction of new multi level university buildings, Existing facilities upgrades at operating Psychiatric Hospitals, Construction of parking garages and instillation of utilities, as well as oversight of landfill remediation and new landfill projects. Responsible for reviewing submittals, request for information, contractor change order proposals and issuing notice to proceed. Conduct daily site construction inspections and site meetings, chair bi-weekly progress meetings and distribute associated minutes. Task include coordinating work activities with client, contractors and consulting engineers to ensure project specifications and schedules are met as well as negotiating change orders. Review and generate monthly progress payments and letters of transmittal. Supervision of technical and craft field staff. Task completed using Expedition/Primavera Project Management System.

Resident Engineer

Earth Tech Inc. - Albany, New York - July 1998 to December 1999.

$ 23 million Environmental Dredging Project, Lake Champlain, Plattsburgh, New York. Client International Paper Co . Act as the primary conduit of communications to and from the client and contractor. Responsible for day-to-day oversight of contractors dredging, water treatment activities and documentation of bulk shipments of hazardous waste to designated landfills.. Additional responsibilities include chairing weekly project meetings, maintaining daily reports, and review and approval of construction contract payments. Supervision and evaluation of field staff.

Site Project Manager

PT. Fluor Daniel Indonesia - Batu Hijau Project – Jakarta and Sumbawa, Indonesia

August 1997 - May 1998

Responsible for managing the recruitment and mobilization of 3000 Indonesian National craft workers for the US$ 2 Billion Batu Hijau mining development project in Sumbawa, Indonesia. Task included forecasting site wide labor needs with area managers, construction of processing centers, coordinating large-scale personal mobilization and demobilization by sea and ensuring Fluor HSE safety training and orientation policies are enforced. Administering contracts and benefits as well as resolving issues related to labor disputes and assignment of project personnel. Develop and maintain relations with local police, army and Government officials.

Supervise and evaluate 40 HRD staff personnel in 5 office locations.

Project Manager - Site Coordinator

PT Inamco Varia Jasa - Tembagapura, Irian Jaya, Indonesia

July 1994 - August 1997 – Freeport Indonesia Mining Operations (FIC)

Managed Inamco manpower supply in Irian Jaya including recruitment and mobilization of 150 expatriates, 3,500 National skilled trades as well as professional Nationals disbursed throughout the 6 million acre FIC project work area extending from sea level up to 14,000 feet. Assessed client manpower requirements, develop marketing strategies, coordinated mobilization activities and maintained labor supply for FIC in Irian Jaya from 7 offices locations throughout Indonesia. Resolve issues related to immigration and working visas and the employment of Inamco personnel in Irian Jaya as well as administration oversight of contracts and payrolls for more than 3000 employees.

Note: Prior relevant experience as Engineering Manager and Senior Engineer from October 1971 – June 1994 to be discussed during interview.
