ACCOMPLISHMENTS:
Participated with team to size and place pumps, tanks, mixers, valves, and orifices for a hypothetical multi-spec antifreeze production plant. Created component delivery and production schedule.
Developed, with a team, a process control plan for a natural gas liquids (NGL) recovery facility. Designed control loops, compiled supervisory control strategies, recommended statistical process control strategies, and identified opportunities for advanced process control strategies.
Created with team the design of a bioreactor to produce omega-3 fatty acids from bacteria. Innovative design included scale up, purification techniques, market analysis, and cost analysis.
EXPERIENCE: Internship - Cornell University Novel Food Processes and Engineering Laboratory: Ithaca, NY
May-Aug 2015
Internship in the lab of Prof. S. Rizvi. Optimized ejector configuration of a Joule-Thomson expansion cryogenic freezing device used to produce novel ice cream product. Optimized for throughput, yield, and product quality. Quality criteria include product temperature and overrun. Performed overrun measurements and calculations.
