Project- Genesys (Aspect Conversion) 05/15 to Till Date

Suddenlink Communications is a top-10 cable broadband services provider in the United States with approximately 1.4 million subscribers. Suddenlink operates in 16 states in primarily medium-sized communities.

The existing Aspect call center system is now replaced with Genesys. A new database is created to load call center data (such as customer calls and agent’s event information) coming from Genesys BI feed every 30 minutes. Several ETL jobs has been designed to process these files into LD and Stage tables. Existing Aspect/Velocity HANA models have been modified to accommodate data coming from both Aspect and Genesys tables until all the call center regions go live with Genesys. During the first phase of this project only North Carolina and Shared Services region’s residential calls are routed to Genesys system where as the remaining regions residential/commercial calls are still being routed to Aspect.

Role / Responsibility

As a SAP Data Services and HANA Architect:

Involved in all the business meetings with Suddenlink and Genesys teams.

Designed the architecture of Genesys database.

Designed and tested ETL jobs to extract, transform and load the call center information coming in BI feed files into HANA Genesys database.

Available during the go live of each region to support ad-hoc requests/modifications.

Project Description

Velocity is about designing CRM dashboards and BO Explorer reports that provides vital signs information. The source for Velocity is Suddenlink Warehouse(SDW) which is a centralized location for Calls, IVR, Sales and Financial data.

Suddenlink recently upgraded to SAP HANA and SAP Business Objects 4.0 to optimize the performance of their analytical reports. The data from SDW will be loaded into HANA database in regular intervals. Multiple HANA Information models were designed to be used as source for dashboards and Explorer reports.

Project Description

Agent Scorecard is an application designed using PHP and SAP HANA technologies. This application is to evaluate how all call center agents are performing on various measures. Agent’s performance will be converted into points and scores which will then be used in their performance appraisal process. Suddenlink also would like to compare each agent’s performance with his/her Region’s and Department’s performance for each measure. The performance calculation will happen on monthly and yearly basis.

All the day to day performance data available in SDW data warehouse will be brought into HANA database in a near real time fashion. Several models have been designed to aggregate the data at day, month and year level to calculate the performance, points and scores.
