Career Accomplishments

During my career I have developed and demonstrated the skills necessary to develop new business and opportunities for all of the locations I have been responsible for managing. As plant manager of Lindberg Houston I was part of a team that succeeded in recovering a facility that was on the brink of closure, to a facility that had an earnings performance of 17% sustained over a three year period. Average annual sales $4.5mm

As business unit manager of Lindberg Melrose Park, my department reported 4% growth over the two year period from 1999 2001. Average total sales $11mm

My responsibilities during my management of Bodycote Minneapolis were assisting in accessing the viability of the location. The determination was made to close the facility. My responsibility became to develop and exit strategy that would allow scheduled staff and production reductions, assist in regulatory resolutions and the ultimate closure of the plant. I have had extensive customer contact both as part of my management responsibilities as well as during my sales career.

I participate in the Lindberg Heat Treating Accelerated Leadership Program. This program is a one year training program that is designed to develop new managers within the Heat Treating industry. Skills learned during the training include,

Budget Development

Quality System Management

Production Scheduling

JIT Processing

Kan Ban Systems

Boeing 5S

Project Management

Time Management.

I have been a leader and a team member in, APQP, FMEA, Control Planning and the implementation and administration of ISO, QS, ISO 2000, The LQS, BQS, and now the BMS. 6
