December 2011 HARPER INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION ~ Lancaster, NY

Review technical specifications and meet client for projects up to $10 million in producing nuclear, carbon fiber and rare earth processing industrial furnaces; perform on-site inspection for clear understanding of end-result concept and production. Manage project adhering to timelines and budgets; review and approve designs; release drawings approve ECCN forms. Monitor supply chain and purchase order reviews ensuring timeliness; manage project from purchase order to commissioning.

Challenge: Client required Harper’s equipment to produce 99.99% pure Alumina from their ore.

Action: Conducted lab test proving requirements could be met; clean sheet design

of equipment and HMI and PLC program was configured to run equipment and

set residents time in rotary furnace and vertical reactor to achieve purity of

upstream product.

Result: Achieved 99.99% purity of Alumina through client training on equipment and viable suggestions in improving their process. Team of Programmers and Electrical Engineers developed procedures for customer and trained on site for three months.

Quality Control

• Produced SITP forms and MRIP forms for the Quality program. I implemented welding codes and standards AWS and ASME.

• Challenge: To make sure correct welding symbols were on the weldments and weld maps were added to the drawing set alone with NDE and NDT; visual and Dye penetrate.

Action: Reviewed all quality documents, specifications, and drawings to ensure they conform the quality standards.

• Produced 3-D designs in production of equipment for clean coal technology.

• Challenge: Design prototype and production equipment for carbon black to produce methane gas and carbon black for diesel, heating and jet fuels.
