Ensured that all pertinent personnel are informed of geological activities (onsite – company man, tool pusher, driller, mudloggers and LWD; onshore – operations geology and engineering/drilling teams).

Supervision and QC of Geological Service Companies and Contractors including Biostratigraphy, Coring, pressure and sampling (MDT & LWD), Mudloggers, MWD/LWD, Seismic (Wireline/LWD) and Wireline (Conventional and TLC).

Witness wireline and LWD well testing and ensured formation pre-tests were taken at the proper depth and verified gradient present (oil, water, gas) when applicable, and communicated these data to the client while testing. While cleaning out for formation samples (oil, water, gas), ensured the client’s standards were and verified to proceed forward with the client before collecting samples.

Ensured any digital data was named as per the naming convention and ensured data is accurate and displayed in well logs properly and posted those data to Petrovault.

Pore pressure surveillance utilizing LWD Gamma ray, resistivity, neutron, density, and sonic (depending on hole section), mudlogging data- total gas, chromatograph data (C1-C5), normalized drilling exponent (DxC), and cuttings

(cavings, color changes). Created strip logs using Microsoft Excel and Geo for distribution to the onsite team and emailed to the client.

Wellbore stability monitoring utilizing cavings, especially while exiting Salt (potential rubble zones).

Detailed cuttings, core chip, and hydrocarbon show description using Munsell Rock Color Book and AAPG Sample Examination Manual for standardized descriptions.

Created composite, lithology, and strip logs using Geo (SDC Geologix software).

Composed final well reports as per clients standard/requests.

Oversight of coring operations – monitored drilling parameters for indications of core barrel jamming, ensured core tubes were labeled correctly, took core end photographs, and collected core chips to ensure they were properly labeled for later description.
