Senior Test Systems Engineer

Provide support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and test performance for all systems in the overhaul and repair facility. One of two engineers in new group to support test bench and test cell development and overhaul to increase volumes and test capacity. Programming in Labview for testing of APU engines and Engine Systems. Engineering interface with factory technicians for new tooling design and ordering including both capital equipment projects and expense for new and replacement tooling fixtures. Programming and Upgrade of Curvic Robotic Test Equipment. Upgrade of Test Cell for additional 12 engine models. Current duties include:

Reducing TAT of entire factory to meet or exceed company guidelines and goals.

Managing cell expense reduction through better tool design and operation.

Managing and ordering of Capital equipment and tooling for Repair and Overhaul operations.

Upgrade software and hardware to increase capacity and reduce test time.

Plan and implement test equipment obsolescence reduction to reduce maintenance costs and improve performance of the test area.

Provided support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and test performance for engine and flight control systems test equipment. Manage capital budgets for test equipment upgrades and replacement through initialization and completion of capacity models. Senior member of 6 engineer and 8 technician staff.

Increased equipment operational time 25% per year by developing preventive maintenance plan that increased task completion with minimal resources, integrated staff and floor technicians’ responsibilities, and reduced dependence on maintenance staff.

Primary interface with production supervisors and managers to achieve a 1 day response time to all test equipment failures and no more than 8 hours for critical system failures, reduced response time by 40% and an increase of 35% customer satisfaction.
