Created common forms for database access, allowing new consultants to gain access to databases needed, and easing on-boarding process.

Reduced call volume to help desk team by collaborating with security group to add databases to Password Manager Utility, enabling users to reset passwords for expired or locked accounts.

Supported application upgrades by processing database changes for application groups, altering tables and adding data content.

Provided database support for application projects. Assisted in design, implementation, maintenance, performance enhancement, and monitoring of databases on several platforms including mainframe. Worked with application support to deliver SQL performance and database tuning.

Improved application performance by providing SQL Support and tuning using OEM. Watching the Top Performers was able to locate the poor running SQL statements and able to create indexes or change the SQL statement to allow it to run more efficiently.

Standardized and installed shell monitoring scripts on current Oracle 11g databases to insure availability of server and database. Created the shell scripts for both UNIX and windows environments. Implemented the scripts on the HR and Payroll databases. The scripts insured that the databases were available and that the instance was up. The script would send a page if there were major errors.

Created new Oracle 11g schemas and standardized scripts needed to monitor databases. The scripts would monitor the space on the file systems and the tablespaces to insure no space issues.

Processed customer requests for database changes and enhancements. Used ITSM for change control, to document the change to be made. Processed the SQL statement(s) to change data or change structures of the schema as required by the application.

Installed security scheme on 14 IDMS mainframe databases. Created role based scheme that allows application to secure transactions by job function.

Enhanced security for DB2 mainframe databases through implementation of change from object based to role based, enabling security administration by job function.

Introduced to DataGuard, Used with the ITSM (problem tracking) system to insure no data is lost and that the failover is available. Also used the standby database as a snapshot database to allow testing of the application with production data.
