ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB

Operations & Maintenance:

Trouble shooting, calibration, service and maintenance of various process instruments like pressure switch, pressure transmitter,temperature sensor,temperature switch, temperature transmitter, flow sensor, flow transmitter, level sensor, level transmitter, level switch, On-off control valve, propositional valve, three way globe valve, I/P & P/I converter, conductivity meters, pH meters, gas analyzers and Electro pneumatic positioners, position feedback transmitter, vacuum transmitter, gauges, digital indicators, weighing scale system, dampers, solenoid valves, magnetic flowmeter.

Upkeep of all the Instruments for day to

day running of the plant.

Experience in working on control circuits and trouble shooting of faults, suggest improvements, etc.

Experience in maintenance of control system, field instruments of power plant Capabilities in diagnostic & failure analysis and able to correlate process disturbance with the incipient Instrumentation mal function.

Identifying areas of Obstruction/Breakdowns and take steps to rectify the equipments through Application of trouble shooting tools .

Strong communication, interpersonal and diagnostic

& trouble shooting skills, good analytical ability so as to identify the problems in incipient stage, analyze and take corrective actions to avert emergency and / or improve plant performance.

Thorough understanding of documents like Instrument Hook-up drawings, Cable schedule routing drawings, Instrument / JB support drawings, control panel layout drawings, panel I / O. list, wiring drawings P&ID (Piping & Instruments Diagram) & control philosophy Logic

Diagrams,etc. Capable of reading & understanding control drawings & single line diagrams

Experience in loop checking & Interface engineering (Field Instrument to DCS OR PLC or SCADA controller) &

Testing, Installation, Wiring, Commissioning and

Decommissioning of all field instruments like Transmitters, Control Valves, On / Off Valves, I/P converters, switches, Analyzers, Gas detectors etc.
