Civil Structural Engineer, Gannett Fleming Engineers and Architects, P. C., New York, NY November 2014 – Present

Harmon Shop Replacement – Phase V, Stage II, Croton-on-Hudson, NY, MTA Metro-North Railroad (MNR). Facilitating preliminary design-build documents for replacement of MNR Harmon Yard's main shop. Project includes demolition of the existing 265,000-square-foot main shop building and construction of a multilevel 350,000-square-foot maintenance facility in 2 stages. Stage I included a partial demolition of the existing building; construction of a 125,000-square-foot, 2-track, 10-car-length consist maintenance facility; a 55,000-square-foot wheel shop facility; conceptual design and staging demolition of the remaining half of the existing building; and construction of the Stage II running repair and support shop facility. Stage II includes preliminary design for an approximately 250,000-square-foot running repair and support shop facility. Responsibilities include extensive cross-discipline coordination, site circulation design for pedestrians and maintenance and emergency vehicles, drainage and grading design, utility design and coordination, and site signage and striping.

Long Island City (LIC) Yard Restoration, Queens, NY, MTA Long Island Rail Road (LIRR). Facilitating multi-discipline project in which yard improvements at the existing LIRR rail yard were proposed to update track and site facilities. This 12-track yard facility is used by LIRR for operation of both electric multiple unit (EMU) consists and diesel locomotive/push-pull coach consists. The scope of the improvements in the final phase (Phase 3) of the 12-track LIC yard improvements project includes removal of contaminated soil, installation and upgrading of yard drainage, traction power third rail, service platforms, yard utilities, and the replacement and realignment of the final 4 tracks. In addition, design improvements include a diesel-fueling interlock system with the traction power third rail, an acoustics and vibration study due to a residential development in the vicinity of the yard. Finally, a flood wall and flood gates were to be installed around the perimeter of the rail yard as a form of a storm-hardening element to mitigate future storm-surge flooding and damage to the yard, which occurred during Hurricane Sandy. Responsibilities include extensive cross-discipline coordination, extensive site investigations to determine optimal flood wall location and design, drainage and grading design, and on-site utility design and coordination.

Toll System Upgrade Design-Build Services, Various Locations, NY, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Providing support for changes to the Integrated Toll Collection System (ITCS), including all removal-, construction-, and installation-related work. Assisted in providing final drawings for both the electrical and structural requirements of the proposed replacement equipment including the lane controller and peripherals, violation enforcement system, overhead laser scanner (OLS), Outerbridge Crossing (OBX) open-road tolling (ORT), close-up lane observation (CULO), and lane mode sign (LMS). The project includes structural design of the mounting hardware for the toll canopy and inspection of the existing mounts as necessary. The project also includes electrical design and analysis for all powered components. Both civil and maintenance and protection of traffic detailed drawings are provided to support the scope of work.

Hurricane Sandy Repair and Resiliency Projects – Open-End Architectural and Engineering Services, MacMillan-Bloedel Building Reroofing Project, Jersey City, NJ, The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Responsible for a new roof drainage system, including preparation of the final civil design drawings and specifications, for the Port Authority Trans-Hudson (PATH) MacMillan-Bloedel Building, which is approximately 60 years old and currently used as a storage building for PATH. The building suffered severe roof damage as a result of Hurricane Sandy, necessitating the replacement of the roof and other building repairs.

Data Center Design, Orangeburg, NY, Skae Power Solutions, LLC. Providing engineering and architectural design services for converting space at an existing warehouse and office building into a data center, including mechanical, electrical, and office support space, for a large integrated healthcare information management company. Responsibilities include working on the Phase 1 design.

Installation of Rotating Prism Signs at Tollbooth Facilities, New York, NY, MTA Bridges and Tunnels. Involving multidisciplinary coordination and design services for the installation of 170 rotating prism signs at nine tollbooth facilities. The project included performing field investigations, developing structural support concepts and designs. Providing both civil and maintenance and protection of traffic detailed drawings to support the scope of work.

Structural Engineer, MP Engineers, P.C., New York, NY April 2014 – November 2014

NJTA - Turnpike Interchange 14A Toll Plaza Improvements at Jersey City, NJ

• Participated in design of renovation for Turnpike Interchange 14A Toll Plaza. The project involves A/E services for renovation of existing Toll Plaza buildings. Structural inspection of existing toll plaza building, new ITC building and new steel canopy for E-Z Pass lanes

• Responsible for assisting design of new one story 1150 sq. ft. ITC building, also includes new canopy metal roof deck supported by new steel beams and steel column, exterior masonry wall with concrete foundation wall footing, and masonry shear walls act as lateral force resisting system

• Coordinated design with other parties, prepared structural plans and detail structural section drawings utilized AutoCAD, and detailed structural cost estimate for required design

DASNY - Structural Inspection Re-Evaluation Report, Pool Deck Concrete Slab at City University of New York (CUNY) Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) at New York, NY

• Participated in design of develop structural plans for the replacement of the deteriorated pool deck structural framing, concrete slab and topping slab. The project involved in structural rehabilitation for the existing elevated pool deck around the college pool and mechanical assessment for the existing environmental condition at the steam room and pool pump filtration room
