POC Description:
MPAC (Manufacturing, Process Analytics and Compliance) Solution where user can able to visualize the trend and performance of their process from source system to final objective. I was involved in building one of its component LIMS which involves understanding whole system requirements, modelling, ETLs, reporting, etc. LIMS is Laboratory Information Management System which is a collection of computerized methods to acquire, analyze, store, and report laboratory data. It is used in the laboratory for the management of samples, laboratory users, instruments, standards and other laboratory functions such as work flow automation, etc.
The task includes:
Developing a data model for LIMS data warehouse.
Defining various entities involved in it and several possible attributes for each entity.
Define and create dimensions and facts based on these entities outlining all descriptive and measurable information respectively.
Populating the data model from the data provided by the vendors using suitable ETL transformations.
Building KPIs and generating reports for the system.
Creating dashboards for reports to be generated
I was also engaged in text mining of data in R and visualization of generated data and results in TIBCO Spotfire.

Project Description:
Main challenge in this POC is to identify potential failures early in the production process and subsequently avoid yield excursions to ensure both volume and efficiency in the manufacturing and distribution of hard disk drives.
Once a hard drive has reached the assembly process the benefits of intervention are limited so the key business driver for this project is to predict a probability of failure on receipt of the data from the suppliers of heads and media. The purpose of the prediction is not to capture and intervene on every individual hard drive failure but to generate an early detection of an increase in predicted failed components and to be able to trace this back to specific attributes associated with the heads and media.
The task includes –
•Analyzing historical data from WD to create a model to predict failure.
•Building data marts using SAS DI.
•Using predictive model for scoring and identifying defective heads.
•Automation of whole process in SAS DI.
•Retraining of champion model in SAS DI.
