NCS Private Ltd., (SingTel Group) Singapore Systems Consultant Jun’14 – Current Support involves the implementation, administration and maintenance of more than 100 Solaris, Linux, middleware and web servers that is spread across agencies in G-cloud project. It also involves proactive monitoring of servers and ensuring maximum uptime.

Responsible for resource optimization for the new onboarding project to offer efficient service to the tenants hosted in G-Cloud.

By solution redesign in WebLogic, addressed major issue faced by the application team to have minimal downtime.

Key Responsibility

- Installing, Configuring and managing Solaris and Red hat operating systems for the agency hosted in G-cloud VM’s.

- Capacity designing by coordinating with application team.

- Configuring WebLogic cluster for the new onboarding project as per agency requirement.

- Installing, configuring and managing middleware’s and web servers like Web logic, Apache Tomcat, Oracle iPlanet, Apache HTTP server as per the agency requirement.

- Supervising, handling service request and incident tickets which involves investigation, resolution and closure within the SLA.

- Configuring and managing SFTP and cron jobs as per the application team requirements.

- Implementation of security hardening based on the advice from the security team.

- Providing monthly reports to the respective agencies and addressing the concerns raised by the agencies.

- Responsible for patch management by upgrading the latest patch as per the OS vendor recommendation and releases.

- Configuring NFS server and client for the onboarding project as per their requirement.

- Troubleshooting WebLogic application related issues and raising cases with vendor if it requires vendor log analysis.
