Computer Engineer Technology program graduates are prepared to be successful in a technical environment. CET graduates bring essential roles into Application Engineer, Customer Service Engineer, Manufacturing Engineering, Sales Engineering, Software Engineering, and Test Engineering. This means students can have a broad range of applicable coursework which includes programming, microprocessors, operating systems, product development, and database system design. Education Experience
SOFTWARE C/ C++ AND JAVA MULTIPLE COURSES
Construct programs into compile, run and debug.
Concepts of object-oriented programming, such as objects, classes, encapsulation, and inheritance, which are used to solve problems related to electronics and computer engineering technology
- Java programming language and advanced programming concepts such as exception handling, event-driven programming and graphical user interfaces. Coursework also covers use of data streams for moving data to and from files.
MICROPROCESSOR MULTIPLE COURSES
Use assembly language and/or high-level language to program the microprocessor and develop simple algorithms. Applications of the microprocessor as a computing element used with storage devices and embedded controllers are covered.
DATABASE SYSTEM DESIGN
Structured Query language (SQL)
DATA COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKING
Introduces Principles of data communications, including noise effects, multiplexing and transmission methods. Coursework also covers protocols, architecture, and performance analysis of local and wide area networks.
