Provide General Construction Bid estimates on New York City Projects being pursued by the company (NYCSCA, DEP, CUNY). Thorough analysis of every project bid drawings, specifications, addenda and walk-through information to come up with detailed scope for subcontractor price solicitation or self-performance pricing. Close contact/invite to bid with various subcontractors, manufacturers or representatives, material/service suppliers/installers to solicit quotations, discuss scope of work, answer questions or make clarifications, inform addenda, bid form, walk-through, minority paper works, and other relevant information/changes and then evaluate the received quotations to recommend/decide which one to carry in the Bid or assist the PM/Project Executive in the buy out of subcontract. Senior Cost Engineer

Have recently completed infrastructure projects such as dam/channel/road projects as Sr. Cost Engineer. Returned to Man Office and provided leadership as Lead Quantity Surveyor on estimating new projects; provide general supervision and/or administrative direction to a staff of estimating personnel on larger projects. When acting as lead, coordinated and directed the estimating functions on projects to provide guidelines and reports for responding to client and project management requirements. Utilized estimating methods and the expertise of other project professionals to establish total project estimates. As Sr. Cost Engineer at project site, provided commercial/contractual advice and cost/schedule engineering support to project team for the successful management of projects; review of contractors pay applications for accuracy and conformance with progress; evaluation of contractor cost proposals, variations and the provision of claim analysis; participation in change order negotiations, and the preparation and supervision of independent cost estimates for comparison with designer and/or contractors estimates. Liaise with project/discipline leads reporting weekly & monthly planning and progress reports, production of monthly reports, perform a variety of cost engineering & planning functions encompassing plans & schedules, estimates, cost control, budget preparation, forecasting, cost reporting, supports the Project Manager and Main Office Commercial Director.
