Designed and developed a suite of applications based of WITSML standards for bringing real-time data from rig to office. This suite included the most successful and widely used WITSML client, OpenWire, to move data from rig into OpenWorks, EDM and GeoFrame.

Accomplishments:

Designed and developed WITSML client named OpenWire. OpenWire was able to move drilling data from rig into OpenWorks, EDM and Schlumbeger GeoFrame database.

Designed and developed WITSML server to expose drilling data from OpenWorks and EDM.

Coordinated with offshore teams.

Used agile development methodologies for development and testing.

Worked on technical specification of WITSML standards.

HALLIBURTON 1998 - 2005

Technical Adviser

Designed and developed a suite of applications for loading/exporting data in/out of OpenWorks and EDM. Work during this period involved enhancing existing data loader in OpenWorks to support LAS, LIS and DLIS formatted data and, exporting well and log data from OpenWorks in those formats.

Accomplishments:

Converted requirements from end user into program design and architecture.

Added code to existing data loader to support LAS, LIS and DLIS format.

Modified data exporter application to support newer data types.

Provided training and support to Landmark consultants to use the new data loader/exporter.
