Role:
Under the authority of Director Maintenance, the Engineer Signaling in consultation with Assistant Manager- Signaling manages, allocates resources and implement to all aspect of maintenance activities of signaling system
Manage, co-ordinate and implement operation and maintenance of signaling system and equipment within Metro One Operation in accordance with all relevant regulations, good industry practices and international benchmark.
Implement preventive and corrective maintenance of signaling equipment. Analyze disruptions in signaling system and accordingly plan & execute preventive measures. Manage safety and disaster prevention for signaling equipment. RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES:
Plan, supervise, co-ordinate and implement installation and maintenance of signaling systems and equipment which includes Automatic Train Protection (ATP), Automatic Train Supervision (ATS), Automatic Train Operation (ATO), Audio Frequency Track Circuits (AFTC), various types of bonds, track side equipment, Computer Network Management, Computer Based Interlocking (CBI), On Board Signaling, etc.
Conduct task according to work schedules and periodic (daily, weekly, monthly & yearly) inspection plans.
Preparation of resources required for maintenance activities. Preparation of trouble reports and other related reports and reporting them to superiors through MMIS.
Maintain signaling system and facilities in working conditions. Review the design of maintenance equipment, tools and spare parts. Taking part in test running and writing reports on recurring defects & disruptions. Implement periodic inspections and preventive maintenance schedules.
Monitor signaling interface and integration with other disciplines. Implement database and monitor the achievement through MMIS (Maintenance Management Information System).
Inventory management of signaling equipment and spare parts. Keep and update procedure guides, plans and documents according to the latest developments. Conduct periodic drills for emergency repairs. Periodic Inspections of signaling system and ensure smooth operations. Research, assess and provide related information to Metro One Operation Management and staff. Challenges:

Plan, supervise, co-ordinate and implement installation of AFTC track circuit for MRVC project in Mumbai (Western Line and Central Line).
Conduct task according to work schedules following all the safety norms.
Carry out commissioning activity for AFTC.
Maintain the track records of Assets of AFTC elements used in various sections of project.
Preparation of resources required for commissioning activities Give after commissioning support to client (MRVC) for rectification of failures. Educate Clients representative about the AFTC system. Challenges:
