Applications Developer

PJM is a regional transmission organization (RTO) that coordinates the movement of wholesale electricity in all or parts of 13 states and the District of Columbia.

Gen-Model

Gen Model is a web based application which is built using the Java Server Faces along with the Primefaces technology. The Primefaces Library is used in order to enhance the look and the feel of the web pages.

Designed and developed the application using the Agile Methodology.

Developed logical and physical database design and created the database schemas for the application.

Developed the SQL queries and stored procedures to query the data from the database.

Used the JSF Primefaces in order to develop the front end web pages

Used the JPA entities to persist the data in to the tables in the database.

Used the service calls to provide integration between the JPA entities and the front end JSF pages.

Used the SSO property to gain access to multiple independent software systems. Based on the designation, when the user logs in at once, then he would gain access to multiple systems over which he would have the authority.

Used the HTML5 technology along with the JSF facelets in order to create the web pages.

The application consisted of thirteen web pages. We used CSS3 in order to style these web pages so that the look and feel of each of these web pages would be alike.

Used JavaScript to provide enhanced user interfaces.

Used TestNG for testing the components, JNDI for accessing connection pools and data sources configured on the JBoss Application Server and Maven for packaging and deploying WAR, and EAR files.

Supported business users during UAT testing, provided faster issue resolution, and performance optimization. Provided post-production maintenance and support.

Used the concept of Multi-Threading in order to improve the memory utilization and also to obtain faster processing of the user requests.

Used the continuous integration tool TeamCity in order to build the application.

Return in Transit is an enterprise real-time application which was developed in order to notify the customer about their returned products. This application was developed in order to improve the customer satisfaction.

Worked with the Spring DAO framework.

Performed the system analysis, design, development and deployment of the enterprise application using the Agile methodology.

Developed the database design and also created the schemas (XSD) for the application.

Used the DAO’s in order to access the data from the databases.

Used ibatis framework to map the Java objects and the data in the databases.

Built the Rest Web Service which takes in the input data and accesses the database to enrich the input data.

Generated the java classes using JAXB based on the schema and used these to marshal the data into an xml format.
