SIMCO Engineering - PC - Contract NYCT-80276 – St. George Interlocking- 9/2014- Present

Construction/Safety Senior Inspector

$100 million project includes modernization and replacement of the St. George interlocking signal system; removal of existing track and ballast; installation of new ballast and track and a new traction power system; and drainage and site work. All work must be constructed in the same footprint as other concurrent projects in the area, most notably the new Empire Outlets and the New York Wheel. utilization of Constructware software as a project management tool; overseeing monitoring of noise, vibration and air and water quality; and coordination of material testing, including off-site testing by an independent entity. The project includes standard NYCT track and signal components.

Construction Chief Inspector – HAKS Engineers - New York – St. George Ferry Terminal Rehabilitation Project - Design-Build Project includes deck replacement (full and partial), concrete abutment repair, rehabilitation of deteriorated steel super and substructure members, Mini pile driving, as well as complete removal and installation of a new paint system on all exposed structural steel, In addition, demolished and re-constructed on a more efficient alignment the existing load restricted North Ramp The project also includes complete replacement of the existing bridge lighting and drainage systems, replacement of the existing underground storm water drainage system from the bridges to the final point of discharge in the Upper New York Bay, installation of a pigeon deterrent system, reconstruction of the North Municipal Parking Field and architectural enhancements to the bus canopies and pedestrian breezeway. Construction Cost $175 million (5/10 – 12/14)

Construction Inspector – HAKS Engineers - Reconstruction of Metropark Station Platform, Iselin, NJ for New Jersey Transit. Responsibilities include review of NJ Transit’s design plans and specifications, review the contractor’s shop drawings and suppliers submittals, supervised earth work (hoarding, leveling and pilling) and mobilization activities, inspection of building, track, temporary ticket trailer, catenary, civil/structural, electric, and mechanical work, monitoring the contractor CPM schedule, including production rates and work forces, analyzing and processing contractor invoices and change orders, and preparing engineering estimates. Construction Cost $29 million (6/07 – 11/09)

Construction Manager – $5 Lorong Kuda Access Tunnel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Megicon-AMBC Tunnel Consortium. Sdn Bld.) Supervisor of 50 persons who installed pipe lines, three large pumps and one stand-by pump in the pump room, instrumentation, ventilation fans and grills, fire-rated ductwork and dampers, sprinkler system, CO2 fire suppression system and other mechanical equipment and systems for this vehicular tunnel. The tunnel is a one mile long cut and cover facility, with one lane of traffic per direction, connecting the parking garage for Petronas Towers (at the time the tallest buildings in the world) to the main access road. Construction cost of mechanical systems: $5 million. Responsible for daily work schedule and budget control. Designed and revised shop drawings. Coordinated with the electrical contractor (construction valued at $9 million)

Construction Manager – $0.5 million Putra Jaya Mosque, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Megicon – Far East. Sdn. Bhd). Supervised 20 workers who fabricated and installed a maintenance catwalk in the ventilation ducts of a new major mosque. This mosque was built on an island within a lake, as part of construction of an entire new city to serve as the seat of government for Malaysia. Revised shop-drawings and prepared as built drawings. Responsible for budget control.

Construction Manager – $4 million Interior Installations in a Can Factory, Six of October City, Egypt (Megicon Contract & Development Co.) Supervised 40 construction workers who installed machinery and mechanical support systems in a can manufacturing factory. Designed and revised shop drawings and prepared as-built drawings. Responsible for budget and schedule control.

Project Coordinator – $5 million Ipoh Bus Terminal, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia (Mubin Corporation Sdn. Bld.) Supervised earthwork and mobilization activities. Responsible for budget control.

Office Engineer – Sidi Krir Power Station, Cairo, Eygpt (Megicon Contract & Development Co.) Maintained project records, provided technical data and prepared shop drawings for the construction contractor. Conducted Material Quantity Survey. Supervised justification for additional work orders and contract modifications.
