JOB/PROJECT REFERENCES

DURATION PROJECT/ACTIVITIES DESCRIPTION

2015 HVAC Upgrade Project at

D35 Platform

To provide engineering support for instrumentation involves in HVAC upgrade. Existing HVAC capacity is insufficient to support current heat load. New HVAC unit is designed to run concurrently with old HVAC unit. 2014 -

2015

Fusible Plug Upgrade at

Temana Field

To enhance fusible plug loops with proper distance from fire source, suitable tubing size (to ensure fast & reliable detection) and fusible loop segregation by area.

2014 Compact Low Pressure

System (CLPS) Project at

D35DP-B Platform

To recover the wasted Low Low Pressure (LLP) gas by converted it to LP using CLPS skid. The skid consist of pressure vessel with control and safety instrumentation, pumps and control valves.

2014 Low Pressure System

(LPS) Upgrade at Bayan

Platform

The project is targeted to recover the wasted Low Low Pressure (LLP) gas by converted it to LP using LPS skid. The skid consist of pressure vessel with control and safety instrumentation, pumps and control valves. 2014 -

2015

Module Recycle Project

for GT703 at Bayan

Platform

A new module recycle line is designed to enhance the existing design of SOLAR & Kawasaki gas turbine which experienced frequent downtime due to surging and reliability issue.

2014 Fumehood upgrade for

BCOT Lab

Two fumehood were upgraded to meet the DOSH & DOE requirement. New fumehood were installed with high capacity of blower to ensure personnel is safe to work in the lab.

2013 Switchgear Upgrade for

BCOT

To upgrade existing switchgear room to withdrawable type with additional features of safety and reliability. A new UPS is install to cater for additional vital load.

2013 Effluent Discharge

Pipeline Extension Project

for BCOT

The existing 50m effluent discharge of BCOT need to be upgrade to meet 1km length requirement. Due to cost constraint and complexity of new pipe laying option, project team decided to convert nearby decommissioned pipeline to be used as effluent discharge line. Three self-priming pumps were designed to connect the holding basin to the decommissioned pipeline. Total project cost is RM5 mil EPCC.

2013 Earthing Upgrade Project

for E11R-C platform

The project is intended to segregate the instrument earth and electrical earth termination at E11R-C platform. Electrical earth connection were improved by providing additional earth boss.

2012 -

2013

IPF Upgrade Project for

D35 Platform

Project consist of an upgrading of 20 tags of instrumentation safety loops namely pressure and level application to meet the required SIL level for D35 oil platform. Displacer type level switch were replaced with remote seal DP type level transmitter connected to the existing platform SIS. Total project cost is RM 6.5mil EPCC.

2012 -

2013

IPF Upgrade Project for

BCOT

Project consist of an upgrading of 25 tags of instrumentation safety loops namely pressure and level application to meet the required SIL level for crude oil terminal. Due to complexity of existing SIS and DCS architecture, it is decided to build an auxiliary room to place a new SIS and DCS to interface with the existing system. Total project cost is RM 6.5mil EPCC. 2010 -

2011

Shutdown valves

(ABV0001A/B) Upgrade

for Bintulu Crude Oil

Terminal (BCOT)

12” shutdown valves is upgraded from double acting to single acting actuator to meet fail-safe requirement. 2 out of 3 voting pressure transmitter were installed replacing the existing pneumatic valve panel. A Partial Stroke Test

(PST) were installed as additional features to enhance the valve integrity during its demand. Total project cost is RM1.1mil EPCC. 2009 -

2010

Reliability Management To ensure the smooth transition from time-based to condition based maintenance for all equipment. The activity involves development of Equipment Criticality Assessment (ECA), Failure Mode & Effect Analysis and Equipment Reliability Strategy (ERS). Routinely, Root Cause & Failure Analysis (RCFA) will be developed for repetitive failure equipment to determine the root cause and to develop an improvement program. Life cycle cost (LCC) study will be developed in order to ensure cost-effective options. 2008 –

APR 2010

Instrumented Protective

Function (IPF)

Classification & Validation

review for the whole SKO

Region (13 Fields)

To classify Safety Integrity Level (SIL) for each instrumented safety loops based on its PFD. Each safety instrumentation then verified and validated against the SIL level. Any SIL gap will be recommended for study & upgrade. Standard and references: IEC 61508 and IEC 61511.
