PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Engineer in Mercedes-Benz Research & Development India, Bengaluru, India (July 2013 – September 2015)
Project: Validation of Thrift clients for Navigation using MBFIV (May 2015 – September 2015)
The services under navigation were validated by using the interfaces in a scenario based testing. These included creating various test scenarios like address entry, route calculation etc.
Responsibilities:
Simulating various test scenarios for navigation application in a simulator by using Thrift interfaces, an interface standardized by Daimler.
Developed client side code in C# for different services in navigation to test the interfaces.
Created database to store different set of input and expected output values for the interface to be tested.
Project: Mercedes-Benz Framework for Interface Validation (MBFIV) (September 2014- April 2015)
MBFIV is a platform to validate different telematics applications like navigation, traffic message channel etc. by using their defined interfaces implemented using Thrift (RPC) protocol.
Responsibilities:
Involved in design and development of the application using WPF where we could plugin thrift clients.
Developed custom user controls for each component of the application and applied MVVM pattern.
Designed and created database, tables, stored procedures.
Applied ‘Decorator design pattern’ to validate the interfaces (IF1s) in terms of function return values and their execution time.
Project: Navigation System UI Framework (September 2013- August 2014)
Navigation UI test was automated by simulating user actions through python scripts. All the steps from test execution to report generation were completely automated which resulted in drastic improvement in work efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Developed the automation framework in python using Sikuli IDE.
Developed a WinForms application to select the test, load the input data and execute the test on target.
Used Microsoft Excel Object Library to load the input data based on the test market selected.
Validated the tests using image comparison library and log parsing
