Work Experience

Nov 2011 – present

Production Supervisor – Questron Technologies (Mississauga, ON) Duties included were the typical Production Supervisor duties (supervising staff, schedulling the work, approving time off, hiring/firing, inventory Our machine shop had 3 lathes (2 CNC), 2 Mills (1 CNC), and a router table. We also had the electronics/assembly room, which was separte from the shop. My team consisted of 7-8 individuals, and I coordinated schedulling between all departments for shipments, purchasing, new projects, etc. I personally hired and successfully trained 3 members of my team, and they excelled. I also helped out some of the design work when I had time, using the computer assisted programs to create drawing, and programs for the machines. I am looking to leave because I feel I have accomplished all I can here, and see that there is no advancement or anything ahead, and I am too focused and goal oriented to be content with plateauing already.

Nov 2009-2011

Testing Technician – ZTR Control Systems (London, ON) I started out here on the production floor, populating pcb’s, building the wire harnesses, then moved on to assemblies, then moved into the testing area. We would test all products using various jigs, meters and following the written instructions and filling out the proper reports. I mostly dealt with the RMA’s, troublshooting problems, following the schematics, getting the engineering department involved when reoccuring problems would arise. I would also continue to assist the production floor when things were busy. I left this job because I did not enjoy living in London, and had an opportunity to move to Mississauga, so I took it.

Before those jobs, I’ve had a varienty of mostly trade related work, from sheet metal, to carpentry, to HVAC, to warehouse work, basically I worked wherever I could find work before I completed College

Education

Fall 2006 - spring 2008

Electrical Engineering Technician – Algonquin College, Ottawa, ON I finished this 2 year course in the 2 years, without redoing any courses. Subjects covered were motor controls, PLC, industrial wiring, beginners electronics, telecommunications, fire protection, technical writing…. HVAC – St. Clair College, Windsor, ON

2000-2001

This course, I did not complete, but still learned a lot. Subjects were furnaces, a/c units, industrial electrical, blueprint ready……

A little about me, I enjoy going for long walks to relax, reading, music, sports

(baseball, but all), I have a couple fish which I enjoy looking after, and I like to snack on mixed nuts.
