Experiences: Studied CDMA and LTE systems, developed many algorithms of L1 implementation in FDD and TDD. The algorithms consist of Fast Fourier transform (FFT) of any length, analysis of the fixed-point performance of FFT of various algorithms, FFT-based joint channel equalizer, channel estimation, new receiver design (data estimation), training sequence design (pilot design), etc Accomplishment: hold 10 US patents in which one of my patents (US 7406130), entitled “Method and System for Optimization of Channel estimation and Synchronization in an OFDM-MIMO Wireless Communication System”, is essential to the current LTE system. The ZC sequences of SRS in UL and the UL channel estimation at eNB have been claimed in the patent when the LTE standard doesn’t exist. In IDCC's patent portfolio, the above patent is perhaps the only essential one. Another of my patents (US 7760794), entitled “Method and apparatus for performing joint channel equalization,” received the 2008 chief technology officer award of InterDigital.
