7/15/13 – 10/5/15 Senior Manager of Network Infrastructure

I led a team of 5 Network Engineers and several contractors responsible for architectural strategy, engineering and operational support for more than 180 offices and warehouses. The team managed over 9000 Cisco routers and switches, telephony, wireless and security devices.

Personally recruited, interviewed and built a team of new network engineers during a time of high employee attrition and tremendous project as well as operational support load. Implemented ITIL processes and procedures to help document processes, procedures and work flows.

Served as the Network and Telecommunications Services Project Manager and Infrastructure Architect for over 65 warehouse build outs and site moves. Responsible for all cabling and network, wireless installation in warehouses ranging in size 10,000 sq ft to 1,200,000 sq ft. Worked close with OHL leadership, OHL Customers, OHL and Customer Project Managers and Finance to hit key IT dates by coordinating vendors, FTE’s and contractors.

Responsible for the technical architecture, strategy, design and a 4 million dollar budget for the move and rebuild of two large data centers. Hired Gun to come in and repair years of damage to the company by several failed IT projects and procedures. Responsible for providing technical leadership to IT, Operations, account managers, project managers and customers on designs and implementation of HMS products and services. Responsible for relationships with technology partners such as AT&T, Cisco and Microsoft as well as with consulting firms for engagements.

Served as Network Manager during a time of high employee attrition, Managed 4 contractors and 2 employees. Recruited and interviewed potential candidates for various roles in networking, security and Wintel engineering.

Responsible for leading the strategic architecture and engineering of a data center environment with Nexus 2K FEX, 5500 and 7010, Cisco Catalyst, F5 LTM, Cisco ASA’s, Cisco ISR and ASR Routers. Designed and implemented OSPF, BGP, FabricPath, OTV, VDC’s, VPC’s, GLBP, HSRP, QOS, AnyConnect and IPSEC VPN’s.

As Director of Information Security I developed a comprehensive security program for 14 Healthways offices and recent acquisitions. I served on the Healthways risk management governance committee in which I was responsible for Information and Physical Security. I worked close with business development in answering RFP’s, customer account managers on Information Security audits and with internal and external auditors to ensure all process and procedures met regulatory standards.

Successfully led the implementation of access control for over 50 Sarbanes-Oxley and HIPAA applications and processes. Managed the work streams of over 40 employees and a $30,000 budget. Converted 90% of paper controls to an online ticketing workflow application.

In charge of the design, implementation and support of server, storage and network infrastructure for 12 Healthways call centers and remote offices. During this time I designed and implemented data center services for 9 new call centers and 3 additional Healthways headquarters offices. I served as the primary architect in the design and implementation of all Microsoft, HP and Cisco technologies used at Healthways.

Designed solutions and Configured all HP Windows’s servers, storage, SQL clusters, HP SAN Storage, Routers, switches and data center equipment to support 150 to 200 seat call centers. Implement Cisco products worked with telecommunication providers in implementing fiber connectivity, metro Ethernet, PPP T1, frame relay and cable internet. Established temporary HR and Training facilities in universities/ vacant offices or hotels to support call center clinicians prior to the production call center build.

Designed and implemented a full LAN/WAN QOS Solution (DSCP) for each office on Cisco 6509, 3548, 3550, 3750 Switches and various models of Cisco Routers ranging from 2500 to 7200. In charge of all Network and Security infrastructure including Cisco Routing, Cisco Switching, Voice and Firewalls.

Migrated offices from Frame Relay to multilinked T1’s to increase bandwidth to smaller offices, implemented AT&T MPLS for larger offices and eventually migrated from T1’ to MPLS. Implemented a subnetting plan for summarization and redesigned EIGRP to support growth.
