Thoroughly covers the everyday functions of Delaware County Council as it governs the 500,000-resident suburban Philadelphia county. Also reported minute-to-minute coverage of the unfolding County Council and Court of Common Pleas judges election, providing multiple versions of stories for online coverage for a website and social media platforms, as well as print.
Was one of the 50 journalists chosen to report on Pope Francis’ arrival at Atlantic Aviation at the Philadelphia International Airport in September. Key team member in coverage of his visit from the preceding World Meeting of Families to the Festival of Families to the Papal Mass, attended by 850,000.

Conducts interviews and writes articles on the 500,000-resident Delaware County business community to convey its diversity from the entrepreneurial spirit of a small business owner to how industrial changes such as the Marcellus Shale capabilities impact the area. Created and generated stories for a five-day series on breast cancer, sharing the journey of survivors from their challenges to triumphs. Due to that package’s success, I was appointed lead creative director on a four-part series on cardiovascular health, delving into innovative procedures such as left ventricle assist devices.
Interviewed a homeless man who had lived outside for two years after he lost his job, his wife died and his home went to foreclosure. As a result of his daughter reading my article, she found him at the shelter Christmas Day and they reconnected.
From September 2011 to September 2012, I followed the journey of workers, elected officials, local businesses and community members who were threatened by the potential of 36,000 job losses and a $500 million tax revenue deficit created by the jeopardy of the three Delaware Valley refineries closing.
In May 2010, I traveled to Boston, Mass. to ride on the V-22 Osprey, of which half is manufactured by 4,000 employees at Boeing Inc.’s Ridley plant.
In October 2009, I was embedded with the 1-150th Assault Helicopter Battalion to cover local helicopter door gunner and state Rep. Nicholas Miccarelli, R-162, who was stationed in Basrah, Iraq.
