Beacon Industries – Quality Manager April 2015 – Present

•Quality Manager for manufacturing facility that produces complex components for Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, Vought, L-3, Spirit, & Blue Aero

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics – Quality Control March 2009 – April 2015

•Final aircraft approval for Aircraft Final Finishes (AFF) for the F-35. Responsible for documenting all discrepancies in order to collaborate with Material Review Boards (MRB), engineering, supervision, and management from different divisions.

•Lead special quality projects for gathering data and applying them for real results to drive change on the manufacturing shop floor.

•First Article Inspections (FAI) for various machined components, using various measuring procedures and Geometric Dimension & Tolerances (GD&T), such as; Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM), Fischer Scopes, hardness gauges, and various hand or surface plate gauges.

•CMM trainer for setup, calibration, and some programming on Brown & Sharp and Zeiss (running Calypso software). Created technical manual for Calypso program troubleshooting.

•Complying with AS9100 standards and procedures for collecting data and planning.

Harbison-Fischer - Machinist June 2007 – March 2009

•Machinist on a Mazak lathe, machining tubes and other various components for the gas and oil field. Produced parts with strict tolerances

•Trainer for setup and program editing for new employees.

•Metrologist for forging and machine plants.

•Maintained the entire companies’ calibration for all tools and inspection aids.

Personal:

MY wife and 3 beautiful children are my world outside of my career. Every move or choice I make is heavily weighed to assure their best interest is at heart. Juggling work and school has been a challenge to say the least but the benefits are already starting to be seen. I love taking on new challenges and assignments and know that there is always something new to learn. I have found that the most crucial attribute for success is to use logic whenever possible, this removes any personal agendas or any other distractors from clouding anyone’s judgment.
