Responsible for software architecture, software design creation and analysis for variety of government customer systems.

Developed customer Use Cases (UC) via Unified Modeling Language (UML) documentation and Model-Drive Design (MDD) software tools such as IBM/Rational Software Architect.

Analyzed software architectures developed by government aerospace contractors for quality and conformance to customer requirements.

Modeling & Simulation (M&S) of customers’ terrestrial, airborne, and satellite Internet Protocol

(IP) networks with OpNet and similar software tools.

Prototyped Extensible Markup Language (XML) schema for heterogeneous data exchanges.

Planned industry consortia for XML schema development for government customer.

Military Tactical Data Network (TDN) duplicate message handling prototype design and development.

Independent source code quality and portability analysis using commercial Software Quality Assurance (SQA) tools such as Klockwork and Understand.

Headed Integrated Product Team (IPT) for embedded military communications TDN system.

Capability Maturity Model (CMM) assessment of government contractor software development organizations.

Common Object Request Broker Architecture (CORBA) prototype development and assessment of contractor Interface Description Language (IDL) used in customer systems.

C++ and Ada software prototype development for government customers.

Software engineering technical factors assessments for several government source selections. Bedford Computer Corporation, Bedford, NH 1981-1984 Developed computer workstations and software for publishing and graphics arts industries in both US and overseas.

Manager of Software Production

Responsible for taking a customer’s desired system configuration for a typesetting front-end system and then allocating work among subordinates. This involved bundling together existing software with any custom-developed software that a programmer would write (in C or 68000 assembler) for custom UNIX-based systems.

Software Engineer

Designed and developed C software for Bedford’s new UNIX-based workstations such as an output spooler for controlling typesetter drivers.

Developed enhancements to earlier systems such as (right-to-left) Hebrew text support and new model typesetter support.

Installed and debugged software at customer sites, such as in Germany. 3
