Work Experience

3/2011 – 12/2015 Group Health Cooperative Bellevue, WA

My most recent title was Patient Flow Coordinator or PFC. The position is similar to a inpatient charge nurse but in an outpatient, Orthopedic clinic. I handled almost all of the daily working operations of the clinic. I was the “go to” person for all of the Surgeons, PA’s, MA’s, and some radiology staff. My primary responsibilities consisted of scheduling staff, making the daily provider/ MA assignments, room assignments, maintaining the peace in a very stressful environment, the inventory and ordering of clinic administered medications, maintaining the viability of the crash cart, and I was constantly taking care of different and somewhat unpredictable situations that would arise. In order to keep everything running smoothly this position required a lot of thought, observation, organization, and a very strong ability to prioritize.

2/2010 – 9/2010 HCG Diet Center Seattle, WA

This was a short but highly educational position as clinic manager. I was hired to repair the state of a struggling clinic. My initial duties included extensive patient teaching regarding diet and the utilization of the hormone HCG and the basis of our program. Once established I immediately initiated change. I was responsible for the hiring of the MA’s and front desk staff. I developed new clinic standards including stock rotation, inventory, product ordered, package deals, and “gorilla” marketing. The position required the ability to comprehend the correlation between costs and revenue, the ability to provide sensitivity to a struggling and vulnerable patient population while encouraging sales. This experience allowed a level of business creativity and implementation that no other position has. I discovered that I am oddly business savvy.

9/2008 - 11/2009Group Health CooperativeTukwila, WA

While working in Anticoagulation management I closely monitored lab values with the intention of keeping our patients within their therapeutic range. I counseled patients in regards to their diet, activities, and medications via a multi lined telephone system and the EPIC system. This position required a strong ability to multi task and impeccable customer service skills.

9/2007 – 8/2008 Fibromyalgia and Fatigue Center Bellevue, WA

Job duties included rooming patients, managing incoming phone calls, mixing specialized IV treatments, securing access and monitoring IV infusions. I also provided in-depth patient teaching on topics such as self injection, bioidentical hormones, and supplementation. This position required extensive knowledge of supplements and holistic treatments related specifically to Fibromyalgia.

11/2006 – 9/2007 Caddell’s Laser and Electrolysis Clinic Bellevue, WA

Job duties included clinical flow, scheduling, sales, working with Y.A.G. and Alexandrite lasers for hair removal and vein obliteration. I am also trained in tattoo removal.

10/2004 – 9/2005 Group Health Cooperative Seattle, WA

Duties included organizing and maintaining the Pulmonary clinic flow, in-depth phone triage, patient teaching, and vaccinations, processing and preparing viable lab samples, assisting in bronchoscopes and thorocentesis procedures in a setting specializing in pulmonary clinical care.
