ACADEMIC PROJECT:

M.Tech Project: “Spectroscopic Studies of Nanosecond Laser Induced Plasma in Solid Nickel Target” at the Raman Research Institute, Bangalore, India (Dec 2009- Nov-2010) under the guidance of Dr. Reji Philip. The line emission spectroscopy of solid nickel target upon irradiation with a Q- switched nanosecond lasers has been performed in different surrounding pressures. The detection of ionic lines of nickel (Ni I, Ni II, Ni III) at different pressure and various laser fluences has been recorded and the parameters of the plasma at all these condition were calculated and analyzed. The signal intensity was found to decrease with pressure and a maximum value of intensity was observed at ~ 10 Torr, as predicted by the theory. SEMINARS / CONFERENCES ATTENDED:

Attended National Symposium on Photonic Materials [NPSM-2009] organized by the Department of Optoelectronics, University of Kerala in cooperation with the Centre for Development of Imaging Technology, Trivandrum during 28-29 February 2009.

Participated in National Workshop on Optoelectronics & Optical Communication (NWOOC-2011) organized by the Department of Optoelectronics, University of Kerala, Trivandrum, Kerala, India during 5-6 January 2011.
