PROJECTS AND RESEARCH REPORTS

“Synthesis of some modified Dapagliflozin derivatives as SGLT2 inhibitors in treatment of Diabetes Mellitus” – Hetero Research Foundation. Dec 2010 to July 2011

A new molecule was synthesized through total synthesis which included 16 steps.

A new tricyclic ring moiety as a glycoside unit was developed instead of D-glucose unit as in Dapagliflozin.

The synthesized new chemical entity was shown to possess moderate anti-diabetic activity compared to Dapagliflozin.

“Formulation and in Vitro Evaluation of extended – release Matrix tablet of Zidovudine: Influence of combination of Hydrophilic and Hydrophobic Matrix polymers” – Holy Mary Institute of Technology & Science. Dec 2010 to July 2011.

Prepared and characterized extended release matrix tablets of zidovudine using hydrophilic Eudragit RLPO and RSPO alone or their combination with hydrophobic ethyl cellulose.

The investigated sustained-release matrix tablet was capable of maintaining constant plasma Zidovudine concentration through 12 hours.
