Project Profile:

Reinsurance is insurance that is purchased by an insurance company from one or more other insurance companies (the "reinsurer") directly or through a broker as a means of risk management, sometimes in practice including tax mitigation and other reasons described below. The ceding company and the reinsurer enter into a reinsurance agreement which details the conditions upon which the reinsurer would pay a share of the claims incurred by the ceding company. The reinsurer is paid a "reinsurance premium" by the ceding company, which issues insurance policies to its own policyholders.

Role and Contributions

Triage: Claim documents are initially received by the triager in the process inbox of CREW system. Upon receipt the triager opens the documents he is responsible for and assigns basic index attributes to the claim document in CREW

Non-Financials: In which we prepare a claim as per the Line of Business (Casualty & Property).Performed on asbestos (APH) cases

Financials: In this, calculate reserves portion & payment and finally update into the SICSnt.Search treaty in SICSnt and then update the payments in the existing claim.

Approval: Send the claims to the claim handler & once it is approved by claim handler send the payment to customer through cheque

Claim Closure: claim is closed once all the steps are done

Role and Contribution

oWhen policyholder purchases insurance, they are buying protection for the potential financial consequences of covered losses .when evaluating a claim, the adjuster typically applies a claim handling process.
