Anthem INC is a leading healthcare insurance provider in the US. As part of EPHC project the system was enhanced to include primary care physician and shared savings data coming from upstream systems and develop processed data files for downstream systems.

Responsibilities:

To develop high quality code using Teradata Bteq, Informatica mappings and Unix Shell Scripts. Enhance system, add new objects to the CRE system with each successive release.

Enhance informatica mappings when new DB objects, fields are inducted in the systems. Design, develop and debug the ETL flow for the new objects from multiple type of input sources(like SQL server).

Create and debug transformations for smooth load of base tables from staging tables.

Design new table DDLs, determine primary/secondary indexes for proper data distribution across the MPP system.

Created an automation accelerator(PI_Profiler) to analyze table skewness and determine optimum PI column(s).

Details:

Project was an internal POC for designing a CDR processing, analysis and reporting for a telecom client. The major outcome of the project was to build a secured connection using Flume/Kafka to upload CDRs to HBase database. Securing a stateful system which can reliably upload bulky CDR logs and do near realtime validations with reference to HBase database and finally uploading processed logs to SPARK downstream system for complex analytical operations and reporting.

Responsibilities:

To design and develop HBase database objects and data model.

Write read scripts to upload CDR logs from an upstream Flume/Kafka system, process and store in HBase database.

To write export scripts to create extracts from HBase database for downstream systems.

This was done a part of firm contribution project.

Cross train peers on HBase concepts.

As part of CRE project Deloitte maintains a CRE Client Reporting Extracts system which is an online reporting tool for Clients(Vendors). As part of legacy decommissioning and system upgrade extracts will be generated from a single source datawarehouse and replace legacy extract with highly scalable extraction using Teradata utilities.

Responsibilities:

To develop high quality code using Teradata BTEQ and Unix Shell Scripts. Enhance system, add new objects to the CRE system with each successive release.

NCR Corporation is the leading manufacturer cum seller of ATM machines, cash registers and self-serve kiosks. As a part of Hyperion Upgrade 2.0 project the existing finance data consolidation is moved from Hyperion HAL/HFM system to a fully automated Hyperion FDQM/HFM system.

Responsibilities:

Customizing the FDM process for automating it. This was done using the FDM APIs/ DLLS to create executable VB scripts and creating Windows BAT files to call these EXEs.Creating import formats & validation entities and define mappings within the FDM.

The key challenge was to automate the entire FDM internal process using the FDM batchloader dlls in VB code.Embedded the teradata sql code within the VB code to query database in between the process using ADO objects.

Writing code using the HFM DLLS within VB to automate the star schema creation process and extraction process in HFM.
