Project: Data Transactions on SoC Bus using AMBA AXI4 Protocol [4 Months] Team Size: 2

Language: Verilog

Description: This project was done as a part of IInd semester MS curriculum to observe data transactions on SoC bus using AMBA AXI4 protocol modeled in Verilog HDL. The AMBA Advanced Extensible Interface 4 (AXI4), update to AMBA AXI3 includes the support for burst lengths up to 256 beats, updated write response requirements, removal of locked transactions and AXI4 also includes information on the interoperability of components. AMBA AXI4 protocol interfacing supports up to 16 masters and 16 slaves.

Project: Implementation of Ultrasonic sensor using FPGA [4 Months] Team Size: 3

Language: Verilog

Description: This project was done as a part of Ist semester MS curriculum that measures the distance between the object, moving or stationary, which comes in the way of the Ultrasonic range sensor. The sensor initiates by receiving an TTL pulse from the FPGA board and then sends the trigger pulse in continuous span of time and receives back the signal in the form of echo signal. The received signal is again transferred back to FPGA and the calculated distance in meters, centimeters and decimeters are displayed using LCD screen. The motive behind the project is to reduce the human error and accidents. Implementation of this project constitutes an ultrasonic range sensor (Ping) and an FPGA (ALTERA CYCLONE II) Board. Project: Off-line Signature verification using Angular features [8 Months] Team Size: 3

Language: Matlab

Description: This project was done as a part of B.E. project to help monitoring the authentication of a person using his signature, in off-line mode. First the signature image acquisition is done followed by its pre-processing to isolate the signature part and to remove any spurious noise present. Then signature feature extraction is done where a total of 168 angles is acquired and the difference between the angular features is used to compare the genuine signature with the test signature and lastly verification is done. Compared on the basis of angular features obtained with respect to center of the signature, if the value of Coefficient is more than the predefined threshold by comparing it with that person’s signatures in the database, that is if greater than or equal to 133 angles match then it is considered genuine otherwise forged.
