General Superintendent. Was Site Safety Officer on all of my renovation and new construction projects. Oversaw the subcontractors in their every day work to ensure they stayed on schedule, built in conformance to the contract documents and jobsite specifications. Also did quality control inspections to make sure the project was being constructed correctly according to blue prints and within budget. Worked as an Assistant Superintendent on larger projects along with senior superintendents, engineers and project managers. Worked on site alone on smaller projects, assisted by a project manager from another larger project or our main office when necessary. Held weekly safety meetings on all projects, and insisted that the subs had their own weekly tool box talks as well. Generated weekly look-ahead schedules and held weekly site operations meetings with subcontractors to ensure we were all working off the same, most up-to-date plans, drawings and schedules to avoid onsite conflicts.
