AUTO-VALVE, INC. (Dayton, Ohio) 1999-2016

An $8 million manufacturer of custom designed fluid control devices for the aerospace industry.

Business Development Director (2015 - 2016)

Reporting to the General Manager. Responsibilities include developing customer relationships through engineering and procurement professionals. Introduce new customers to Auto-Valve products and capabilities. Work directly with DLA and other government agencies, while serving as Auto-Valve’s interface with the FAA. Negotiate long-term contracts, prepare technical proposals, estimate & prepare quotations, and position Auto-Valve as a growth supplier with our customer base. Key accomplishments include:

New business growth of over 2.5 million in 6 months.

Lead engineering team in the development of 3 new products (gas caps, anti-siphon adapters and motor-operated ball valves).

Director of Quality Assurance (2010 - 2015)

Robert D. Hale

Robert Hale, born in 1961, is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. He graduated from Princeton High School in 1979 and enlisted in the Ohio National Guard. During his tenure with the National Guard, he was selected by Xtek Inc to participate in their machinist training program. As he rapidly advanced both as a machinist and supervisor, he completed his education and continued to advance into professional management. After 20 years of service he left Xtek. Xtek is a leading manufacturer of power transmission components to the steel and mining industry.

In 1999, Mr. Hale was recruited by Auto-Valve Inc where he accepted a position as Operations Manager. He held this position until September of 2011 when he was named Director of Quality, a position he held until 2015. At this time, Mr. Hale as asked to take on a newly created position of Business Development Director. After 17 years of service, he left Auto-Valve to pursue a more stable organization. Auto-Valve is a design and manufacturer of aerospace fluid handling devices.

Mr. Hale lives in West Chester, Ohio with his wife Carla. He has one daughter and two grandchildren. He enjoys golf, shooting sports and vintage automobiles. He is a member of numerous professional and civic organizations.
