lines and commercial high value claims in New Jersey and metropolitan area. The claims are
from insolvent carriers including Reliance and Home Insurance. The type claims include
commercial environmental (primarily pollution and asbestos) and also personal lines
Homeowners UST claims, personal and commercial auto, construction defect, legal
malpractice.

Reviewed claims involving large loss exposure. Responsibilities involved reviewing commercial
liability umbrella and excess claims. This position required extensive investigation of the claims,
issuance of coverage position letters, attendance at settlement conferences, audits, and

Position required direct technical supervision of excess and umbrella claims nationwide. I acted
as a liaison between Midland and their facultative and treaty reinsurers, prepared detailed reports
to reinsurers apprising them of serious cases which might affect their layers. Established
reserves and audited underlying claim files where the limits were being exhausted.
