throughout the hospital. Responsible for maintaining the operational integrity of all mechanical,

electrical, plumbing, lighting and fire suppression/emergency systems in compliance with OSHA,

EPA, fire department and building codes.

Maintained building utilities and equipment at optimum levels, performing continuous

monitoring, evaluation and adjustment of preventive maintenance program on such systems as:

three 900 hp Zurn water tube boilers

six hot water boilers (various sizes)

one 1,900-ton absorption chiller

two 650-ton Carrier chillers

one 550-ton York centrifugal chiller

two 250-ton Trane chillers

six BOC cooling towers

Siemens, Faraday and Simplex fire systems

two diesel emergency generators and switch gear

Inspected/tested boilers (pH, oxygen); checked for leaks within water and steam systems;

repaired pumps, bearings and couplings; cut thread, soldered piping and changed tubes.

Responded to emergencies; investigated and resolved entrapments, water leaks, unusual odors

and smoke; coordinated emergency drills and practiced evacuations.

Collaborated with other engineers, managers and key personnel to prioritize and coordinate safe

shutdowns for repairs and replacements.
