Worked on implementation of Arthur Allocation package – merchandise distribution system comprising central Oracle database with users PC through ODBC link. Created cross-platform interfaces and processes in order to support connections and real time data synchronization between UNIX based Allocation package (Oracle, PL/SQL), MVS (DB2, VSAM), and UNIX based DW (TERADATA, PL/SQL). Created batch and on-line event triggered multiplatform applications. Participated in Arthur Performance Tracking System elimination project. This system consisted of proprietary database contained large volumes of actual and plan business data plus client/server based front end. It provided a number of ways to monitor business performance through on line queries and by generating variety of reports. Modification was done to eliminate Arthur and make all systems rely on data extracted from NCR TERADATA based Corporate Data Warehouse along with replacing front end by WinDDI and Decision Master. Designed, developed, tested and implemented number of complex applications running in multi-platform (SUN UNIX/MF MVS/Windows NT) environment. It included, along with others, extracting data from company Data Warehouse TERADATA tables, TERADATA XPORT and MULTILOAD with dynamically created SQL, and COBOL/DB2 batch processes using temporary indexes and dynamically bound plans.
