Summary Statement:

I am currently at Kalamazoo Valley Community College and pursuing a career that will help build my resume, and gain new skills.

Education:

2007-Present Kalamazoo Valley Community College

I am a KVCC college student. I am attending this college and have gained the knowledge in Automotive Technology. I am also studying in Exercise Science for Personal Training.

I have obtained the basic knowledge in Automotive Technology such as Brakes, Oil Changes, Tires, Heating and Cooling Systems, and Engine Components. I also have the basic knowledge of Electricity and Electronics which consist of Ohms Law, Watts Law, Circuits and other electrical components. I am also attending classes for certification in the field of Manufacturing Machinery. I have learned the basics of Health and Fitness to help individuals progress with a healthy cardiovascular lifestyle.

Practical Experience

I am training SAP which is a computer program that helps keep track of all inventories in the facility so we have a controlled balance of product to provide to our customer. I am trained to create production orders, create shipments, confirmations, confirm production orders, transfer inventory goods etc. During my time at WKW I have been an assembly inspector, assembler, quality inspector and a fork lift driver. I have travelled to Pell City, AL for training in quality and to supervise the staff at the WKW main plant.

In the years 2013- Present I am currently working for WKW Automotive as a Production Supervisor. My responsibilities are to meet the weekly requirements of our logistics shipments and maintain a safe a friendly work environment for the assembly workers.

In the years 2011-2013 I worked for Bowers Manufacturing as a WKW quality inspector. I inspect BMW roof rails and other automobile parts for the company to make sure that the parts meet the VDA standards that are required for an acceptable part. Incoming receiving quality was my responsibility to make sure all of raw material met the VDA standards and was acceptable for material to be moved to the next storage location. Polishing inspection was also a responsibility for me and that required the inspector to catch all defects before being anodized due to the polishing being fragile. It is very critical to catch those defects to prevent high fallout of defects from bad polishing. The most important job as the Quality Inspector was to check all finalized anodized material after it has been inspected and packed. I was required to do final audits on all anodized material including Roof Rails for Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Running Boards for Mercedes. Every crate and tote had a final audit process and tagged with an official quality verification tag before being shipped to the customer.

In the years 2010-2012 Mc Donald’s as a Crew Member. In this working environment I learned to maintain and exceed cleanliness of the store and interact in a professional matter for those who need assistance. I also learned to make and cook quality food for the customers.

In the years 2007-2010 I worked for Borgess Medical Center as an Environmental Servicer, this job required me to make sure that certain destinations in the hospital were clean and keep at the seven step cleaning procedures that were giving to me to maintain a very clean environment for visitors.

In the years 2002-2004 I worked for Edison neighborhood association and as a group of young adults we would go around the neighborhood and pick up trash, deliver city newsletters and plant flowers for the community.
