Position: QA/QC Engineer (I&E)

RESPOSIBILITIES.

Manage QA/QC activities of Process Control, ESD System, Fire & Gas System, Analyzers, Field Instrumentation, Electrical work est. and co-ordinate with Engineering & Construction Departments for the proper execution of job as per client’s requirement and international standards.

Inspection and Follow up for I/E Activities:

Develop Quality Control and Inspection Test Procedures / Plan.

Interact with the construction Department and review the method statements submitted by them for Instrumentation and electrical works.

Inspect and monitor Project Activities of Instruments (Calibration, Testing, and Installation), JBs & Panels and all Instrumentation and electrical construction activities, generate test reports and obtain approval from client.

Inspection / witness of Cabling work (Laying, Insulation / continuity test and Termination).

Prepare surveillance reports about any deficiencies in site and send to all concerned Engineers for rectification and if no action taken transfer this to OSDR / NCR after discussion with QA/QC Manager.

Project Installation & Commissioning:

Follow client standards in the inspection and certify field construction activities Interact with construction contractor / sub-contractor and ensure their installation, fabrication conform to engineering design, client requirements and comply with the statutory Health, Safety, Environment, or Quality requirements, state and international standards.

Identify the non conformities and in consultation with the erection team, take corrective actions and submit the close out action reports.

Improve the performance of Construction activities without compromising Company HSE Policies and Practices.

Monitor the Loop Package Preparation and Co-ordinate with Loop Checking crews for smooth process of Loop Checks without delays.

Act as resource base during pre-commissioning & commissioning activities for start-up.

QA/QC Activities & Responsibilities

Make sure all QC documentation is carried out as per company's Quality Policy and Clients specification.

Make sure all QC drawings, Documents (Soft & Hard Copy) is of latest Revision.

Conduct internal QA Audits with QA Engineer for all QC Disciplines and co-ordinate with QA Engineer for Third Party Audits as per ISO requirements.

Prepare daily activity report and Incoming material inspection report at shift ends and submit to the QA/QC Manager.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Supervising & documenting Calibration of transmitters, control valves, pressure gauges, temperature indicators, RTD’s, thermocouples, temperature transmitters, ultrasonic level transmitters, laser level transmitters, displacement type level transmitters, differential pressure transmitters, magnetic flow meters, orifice type flow meters, Rota meters, positive displacement flow meters, vortex flow meters, turbine flow meters, all types of level, temperature, pressure and flow switches.

Installation of cable trays, junction boxes, control panels and all type of instruments.

Termination of junction boxes and DCS control panels.

Cold loop and hot loop tests of all field mounted instruments.

Tasks to monitor all site activity priors for deadline start of Instrumentation Workload.
