OBJECTIVE

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATION

Very familiar with how the Government Ministers in Iraq work and function. Has had the privilege of having years of experience with working with the military to interact with the Iraqi people in order to make important decisions. I have been working with the US Military in Iraq since May 2005. I worked as an interpreter, at Cropper Detention Facility, interrogating high ranking former Iraqi regime officials and high value Terrorists. During my working experience my work has been appreciated and realized by current and past co workers.

Has experience interacting with Middle Eastern society and gained a knowledge of how society runs and functions. Being familiar with the community and as a result having a better understanding of society’s needs and wants.

Also has over 20 years of experience interacting with America and its people. This knowledge added with the knowledge of Middle Eastern society allows for better thought out decisions because of the ability to compare and contrast the pros and cons of each.

Posses a great deal of knowledge about the important tribal, political, religious, business, about the Middle East. This knowledge can aid in making future plans in areas involving bring about better change.

Can interpret Arabic to English as well as English to Arabic. Gives English listeners a clear interpretation in English as well as vice versa for Arabic listeners. Has Excellent and fluent knowledge of the Moroccan culture and dialect. I have some experience in speaking Spanish as well.

WORK EXPERIENCE IN IRAQ

2005-2010 SOSi Baghdad, Iraq

Worked as a Linguist and is currently working as a Special Advisor/ Iraqi in Bagdad, Iraq. Was first advisor for Dagger Brigade and am currently working for Strike Brigade. As an interpreter I am ready to give interpretations any time requested. As an advisor, I gained a significant amount of knowledge with different experiences. One of these experiences included interacting with Both Cultures( American and Iraqi) in resolving issues. Another experience, was observing the military life and adjusting to it and becoming more adapt to the lifestyle which was important in having ideas that could help in making decisions.

WORK EXPERIENCE IN THE USA

2000-2004 Ayhan's Shish Kebab Restaurant

Worked as a Manager for a restaurant with a very respectable reputation. Possessed significant skills needed for managing the business. One of these skills included having good communication skills which was essential in dealing with customers and their needs. The ability to Multitask was also very important on hectic busy days as well as being able to support the needs of employees as well as the customers at the same time. Also had to have a great sense of how the business was running and be Omnipresent around the whole restaurant to monitor its environment. Also made sure everyone’s schedule was made correctly, and helped in planning and organizing future plans for the restaurant.

1988-2000 Barone’s Pizza

Worked as a Manager for a very busy and popular pizzeria in Flushing New York. Had to monitor the pizzeria and as head manager had to manage from open to close most days. Worked overtime and was very dedicated to the business. Also worked very efficiently under very busy city life conditions.
