PRODUCTION MANAGER (2015 – PRESENT)

Responsible for safety, quality, and productivity results in a value stream consisting of 130 salary and hourly employees, 60 machining work centers, and 47 assembly cells. Paramount is safely ensuring on time delivery of over 3500 different finished part numbers to our customers.

Supporting over $40MM in annual revenue, exceeded 2015 profit plan by over $400K. Key drivers of these results were an efficiency increase of 13% throughout the plant, machine downtime reduction of 15%, and a 3% decrease in variable costs.

Through analysis of 2015 production data; developed, planned, and executed a one month long consolidation of critical assets and balancing of personnel by shift to ensure one employee is consistently operating two work centers in the CNC department – maximizing efficiency. These changes increased production by 15% with organic headcount and increased the plants on time delivery by 10%.

Drove organizational change through the development and implementation of the plants manufacturing strategy and roadmap; resulting in the requisition of $1.3M in capital equipment that increased organic machining capacity 10%, and supporting 25% growth in the plants most profitable product line.

Led six month long set-up reduction project requiring $100K in capital investment in tooling and machine upgrades. This investment resulted in $500K in cost savings projects, plant efficiency improvements of 13%, and acted as the primary driver of the plants increased profitability in 2015. KIMBERLY – CLARK (KC) CORPORATION, BEECH ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA Operations Manager (2014 – 2015)

Responsible for safety, quality, productivity, and cost results for $150MM in manufacturing assets and personnel, producing approximately 15% of North American Kleenex branded facial tissue and Scott branded bath tissue.

While leading over 100 team members, transformed the tissue making plant within the Beech Island mill to focus on the corporate goal of safely producing over 75,000 tons per year of Kleenex brand, corporate brand, and Scott brand paper products; a ten percent increase from 2013 production. This was accomplished through a focus on root cause problem solving, capability building, and a personnel accountability program that was expanded throughout the plant. Operations Consultant (2013 – 2014) (Operations Development Rotational Program) Acting as a liaison with third party contractors, coordinated the maintenance and operations support to a product system representing over $400M in capital assets, as well as problem solving and the implementation of countermeasures to technical and procedural issues.

Led multiple problem solving sessions and two Kaizen event on the challenges faced in the management of paper waste created during the manufacturing process. Developed and communicated standards of handling, labeling, and storing; while simultaneously increasing the capacity of our plant to consume these bi-products. After initially facing obstacles dealing with waste consumption, influenced a corporate decision through the illustration of a cost - benefit analysis and results from associated trial activity; generating over $2MM in cost savings over the calendar year. UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS (USMC), QUANTICO, VIRGINIA & CAMP PENDLETON, CA Operations Consultant (2011-2013) (Captain, United States Marine Corps – Officer Instructor) Hand selected as a consistent top performer, instructed over 3000 newly commissioned Marine Officers in methods of cross - functional leadership, analytical problem solving, and operational planning.

Planned, executed, and supervised an 1800 hour syllabus, including ten large-scale operations with 300 or more personnel; providing training, framework, and tactical problems to increase the decision-making capacity of student officers. A consistent theme being the adaptation of an organizations personnel and equipment, tailoring the utilization of finite resources to maximize output. Operations Manager (2007 – 2011) (Lieutenant, United States Marine Corps - Combat Engineer Unit Commander) Developed, implemented, and supervised approximately 2000 hours of training for 100 personnel preparing for two separate overseas deployments to Afghanistan; facilitating accomplishment of over 400 assigned tasks and achieving 100% personnel readiness.

Planned, synchronized, and executed over 200 operations while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. These actions required assimilation of over 2000 intelligence inputs and the coordination of over 1000 tons of logistics support. Throughout this time, constant analysis of enemy actions was conducted, adapting operational procedures to maintain effectiveness in a fluid environment. This concept was illustrated as the head of an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) working group, analyzing the use of this weapon system and led the development of techniques to counter this threat.
