Professional Experience:

Over thirty years in the Emergency Medical Service profession, as a Paramedic Team Leader onboard Mobile Intensive Care level ambulances. Professional educator Advanced EMS Educator, design and teach EMT Basic through EMT Paramedic level courses to include Emergency Vehicle Operations. Design public safety instruction for school districts, as well as public education and information, CPR and safety courses as requested. Enhance nurse staffing by working in the emergency room setting, triaging, and providing treatment for patients in the emergency room. June 2012 – Current:

Hemphill County Hospital / EMS as Paramedic responding to all 9-1-1 call’s, assist nursing staff in the emergency room, performing assessment’s and triage, administering medications, and starting IV’s as requested as well as 12 leads. Enter patient information into “Cerner” patient systems program as well as “Power Chart” patient care programs.

Maintain readiness through learning protocols and complete inventory and infection control of all emergency vehicles,

Educator, teach EMT Basic, and Advanced EMT courses. BLS CPR for healthcare providers for public and staff.

Develop staff continuing education and skills testing as required.

September 2011 – June 2012:

Shamrock General Hospital / EMS as Paramedic responding to 9-1-1 calls, maintain readiness through protocols and inventory and cleanliness of ambulances.

June 2011 – September 2011:

AEROCARE medical helicopter, dispatch helicopters and fixed wings, using computer programs to find GPS coordinates as directed by caller. Use of computer programs to document flight times and history’s as they progress, by radio and as needed, by SAT phone.

June 2009 – June 2011:

Castro County Hospital / EMS:

Respond to 9-1-1 calls, assist nursing staff in the emergency room performing patient assessment’s, advising doctors, placing orders and following up with patient care and either admit or dismissal.

July 2000 – May 2009

Northwest Texas Healthcare Emergency Room:

Communications technician, answer radio calls from incoming ambulances. Assist in decision making as to what room would be required for optimal patient care. As well as calling physicians, code and trauma teams according to criteria. Assist with medical control form incoming and regional ambulances as requested.

May 1997 – July 2000

Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch:

Paramedic EMS Coordinator, responding to calls for assistance on the ranch property as well as surrounding geographical area. Operate clinical duties including assessment and triage of children living at the ranch. To include documentation of clinical findings and treatments, scheduling doctor’s appointments as needed for the children. Ordering and receiving medication as prescribed by physicians and making sure medication’s are delivered to the children’s house parents.

December 1979 – May 1997

Hereford regional Medical Center:

Perform two positions both as assistant maintenance engineer, as well as involvement in the attainment and development of what is now Hereford EMS, on call for maintenance complications as well as EMS calls for assistance. As Advanced EMS Education Coordinator developed Hereford EMS Education and Training Program, approved by the State, teaching EMT Basic, through Paramedic initial and continuing education courses. Developed and taught safety training courses for school children, elementary through high school, public health courses in the high school system as well as public health and prevention courses in the public as requested.

May 1975 – May 1979

United States Navy

Submarine force 4 stationed in Charleston South Carolina my position was as an Instrument man testing and rebuilding precision instruments used on board nuclear fast attack submarines, to include oxygen clean systems. Nuclear weapons storage and transport operations armed security guard.
