Verify every patients insurance eligibility, including effective date, PCP’s name, and co payment information.
When applicable, collect co-payment, log on day sheet, and provide patient with receipt.
Prepare medical records/charts for the clinician. Notify clinician’s medical assistant, in a timely manner, of patients arrival.
Maintain front office supplies. Inform supervisor of items needing to be ordered.
Schedule patients for return appointments.
Ensure all co-payments received are tallied on day sheet and all money collected reconciles to the day sheet. Turn in money to designated person to assure the daily deposit is secured for the night.
