Description:

SSS (Shared Sourcing Services) transforms all GE business into an E-Business covering all key components of the buy-to-pay business flow, processing and managing requisitions and receipts till payment. SSS mainly does indirect material procurement.

Buy 2 Pay is a single instance of Oracle ERP that supports Indirect Procurement for all GE businesses. It also supports multi-Org Oracle application instance where all major GE companies like GE Capital, GE Air Craft Engines, GE Medical Systems, GE Power Systems, GE NBC etc. carry out their purchasing activities using SSP (Self Service Purchasing) and core applications. It is 200+ operating units, multi-currency and multi-language environment. It also supports Direct Procurement and Accounts Payable for a few GE businesses. In addition to Buy 2 Pay core applications, many peripheral products are used by Buy 2 Pay Business Users. They include Right Fax, Sabrix, 170 Systems, Elance, EMIS, Datacert and others. Buy 2 Pay supports interfaces to businesses Accounts Payable systems as well as those that allow information transfer to support updates for system maintenance.

The goal at Buy 2 Pay is to become a complete Buy to Pay system for all GE Businesses worldwide.

GE wanted to move to the new Oracle supported platform of R12. UST team, engaged in design, build, run operations of SSS since 2009, is doing the Technical Re-implementation of SSS platform.

The purpose of this version upgrade is to eliminate the risk of exposing the business critical application to unsupported versions of Oracle EBS. As part of this initiative, GE proposes to use the existing R12 instance.

WBEI’s iCampaign project

Description:

Warner Bros. Entertainment – a fully integrated, broad-based entertainment company – is a global leader in the creation, production, distribution, licensing and marketing of all forms of creative content and their related businesses, across all current and emerging media and platforms

There are two systems to store the data for WBEI- EIS3& ICampaign.

The EIS3 stores the international release schedule. These systems store information about the title, synopsis, genres, talent as well as competitor information.

The ICampaign inbound interface receives title information, release schedule and territory information through EIS3 and will store it on fields present on Feature Title and Campaign in iCampaign.

The interface will automate transmission of Title information from EIS 3 to iCampaign by validating MPM# in iCampaign. The transaction from EIS 3 will be once a day job. This automated interface process will decrease the manual effort, allowing for shorter processing time, increasing reliability in the transaction data while providing a stronger audit trail.

The interface between EIS and the iCampaign system ultimately provides an XML file, to transfer data from EIS to iCampaign as specified and provided by WBEI.

Views were made to get the desired fields and procedures were written to invoke the views and to get the result as the desired XML format.
